Volunteering at Freeman Arts Pavilion
The Grand Green:
Ushering guests to seats and supporting way-finding while folks enjoy a performance
Concessions:
Serving up savory eats, cold drinks and more at one of our 5 bars, Canteen and online ordering locations
Parking:
Provide direction to parking lots, and support the smooth arrival (and departure) of guests heading to a show
The Main Entrance:
- Greeting folks at the gate is one of the most important parts of a concert experience - we wholeheartedly welcome all, and our volunteers are some of the first people that guests get to meet as they enter the venue
- Ticket scanning - ahh, the satisfying "beep" of the ticket scanner! For volunteers who enjoy checking off lists and helping guests move through the gates safely, this is a great opportunity to do both
- Chair Checkers - these volunteers work closely with the Security team, following safety protocols and making sure each guest has a smooth transition through the security checkpoint
Volunteering through Arts Education*
This group of volunteers serve the children and residents of Delmarva communities through the Arts Education program. Volunteers will represent the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation in schools and communities throughout Sussex County, DE and Worcester and Wicomico Counties, MD, and at Young Audience Series performances during the summer months. Volunteers may be greeting, interacting with students and staff, and helping artists during their shifts!
* Volunteers must complete one season at the Freeman Arts Pavilion before applying to become an Arts Education Volunteer
Student Volunteers
Student volunteers are welcome! We work with local students individually to determine the best volunteer opportunity for their needs. Please email the Volunteer Manager Londin Boots at
volunteer@freemanfoundation.org if you are interested in being a student volunteer.
